what colors for trim for behr blank canvas walls? (south facing room) I want a lighter white but not a stark white for trim. I'd luv input (I know blank canvas is similar to greek villa hence the Q)

My entire house is Snowbound (trim, ceilings, and most walls). I did watch your video before choosing it - thank you!! It would have never been on my radar had I not sampled it in my home, along with all the other "popular whites" and off whites. I fell in love with how it looked like a creamy white in my home without being yellow tinged. The exterior and interior hard finishes of my Southern California new build are all cool tones (gray and greige exterior, and my kitchen has mid gray quartz with silver sparkles). So, anything with a yellow tinge including Pure White looked like it didn't "fit", and alabaster looked straight yellow. Even Extra White was giving yellow energy in my house. Painting everything Snowbound did force me to change out some furniture though, such as some accent chairs that were yellowy-cream colored for ones that are turquoise.

Hi Kylie! Thanks for all your videos, they are so helpful! :) I recently painted my fireplace iron ore, in my west-facing living room. I love it, but am overwhelmed with what to put on the walls in the living room around it. I'd like some moodier, cozy vibes, but am worried about going too dark. Would accessible beige work well for this or would you recommend something else? On either side of the living room are color-drenched rooms, entry way and dining room, in alabaster, with quite a bit of natural woods and darker furniture.

We have a new build , I need help with the whole thing, I am driving my husband nuts and he just wants anything thrown up, I like earthy colors but not completely white, looking to use SW colors, outside is SW evergreen fog. I want to only do this once but correctly. still need to pick out counter tops. Kitchen and living area has West windows with bronze trim, I was told should do first before paint. Cabinets won't be installed until maybe September 2024 HELP!!! Where can I start. Thanks overwhelmed.

Help. I painted my cabinets pashmina. Love them. I am looking for a wall color. My trim is 50% shaker beige. I would prefer not changing my trim. Do you think revere pewter and pashmina go together side by side?

White dove and pale oak ❤

I love these dark greens! Can you please do a video on the best trims to go with some of these and why you like certain ones? Although I can't find many reviews, I really love BM Narragansett Green for it's depth, sophistication, and interesting play between the blue and green for my office cabinets with maybe Edgecomb gray or aesthetic white walls, or even a lighter blue/gray/green (I have lots of windows so the room can handle a lot of color). I have been thinking SW White Snow for trim but now I'm considering the more muted approach of a lightened version (by 25-50%) of BM White Dove or SW Cold Foam for trim. You are soooooo great at pairing colors! I would gladly sign up for a consulting package if I could catch them available so until then I will keep studying your videos and blog.

Thinking of City Loft for main walls and Accessible Beige for trim. What your thoughts.

I live in a rent house with warm colors everywhere. The owner painted this cool color on the walls with enamel paint. The color is definitely blue not gray. It’s pretty if you want blue with no gray at all. It looks horrible with the warm tones of the whole house. I want to paint the walls. I have to hold myself back.

Hi! I wonder what do you think of SW Siitake. My house faces East. I have a light tone blue sectional sofa, with medium tone stained wood cabinets & carrara marble counter tops, dark brown floors. Some decor elements in soft green. It is coastal, tranquil atmosphere. The color will be used on walls, trim & ceiling throughout the entire house. Any suggestions? how about shaker gray on old school kitchen cabinets and drawers??? i think im gonna roll with it. well lite kitchen. lots of light. small kitchen

I love to use on my ceiling hrw. But emerald cost too much for ceiling. I find HGTV and Valsper has ultra white base and makes hrw. I ask how much color added to make hrw, answer is 2 drops of yellow. hrw is more yellow than ultra white by wink.

Hello. Your brain is brilliant. I see the subtlety & undertones in paint colors too and people always tell me, "Just pick a color, it's not a big deal!" But oh, yes - yes it IS a big deal. My eye cannot unsee undertones. What are your thoughts on Sherwin Williams Pure White with Chelsea Gray? I think Pure White is similar to Cloud White. Or Gray Owl with Chelsea Gray on coordinating walls in same room?

Thank you so much for this video! I am a recent subscriber as well are building a new home at this very moment! We are painting right now for our new build. I was going to do my kitchen cabinets BM forest floor and had Swiss coffee in the kitchen around it. Simply white trim. Had a melt down and realized I couldn’t do green cabinets lol 😂and changed my cabinet colours to revere pewter (LOVE) last minute. Now the Swiss coffee is too yellow for me. 🤦‍♀️ TODAY as in right now I was scouring for a new off white for the kitchen and everywhere else I had Swiss coffee. I then see this video, white dove it is! Now my palette is: Simply White, White Dove, Revere Pewter (timeless imo!), Edgecomb grey (timeless as well imo!!), October Mist, Heather Grey, Forest Floor. My floors are mid tone warm wood. Bottom cabinets are warm walnut. Countertop is a faint marble look quartz that is warmish off white with some warm veining. ❤

We’re painting our interior trim White Dove! Revere Pewter throughout because we have tons of natural light, it never looks dark. And Antique Pewter on kitchen cabinets :)

I can’t decide what color I want on my linen cabinets. Small (17’x4’) hallway (no natural light). The wall is white dove and on the opposite side the entire wall is the cabinets with one bedroom door. I am trying to decorate my house modern farmhouse style.

I have white dove cabinets in my kitchen and getting ready to paint the walls ballet white next week would you recommend that or is that a hard no and I don’t like “it doesn’t bother me “ either 😂😂 I will carry the ballet white into the whole house ..my ceiling in living room are 25 feet lots of natural light windows floor to ceiling facing east light.
